bstract
Among the common themes by Walter Benjamin and Theodor W. Adorno
in the diagnosis of
Zeitgeist
in which they lived, the concept of experience
and its implications is one of the most important. More specifically, the
experience in the context of its decline and at the same time in the decay of
the narrative. Symptom of modernity and of a dialectic of enlightenment,
this movement is exemplarily showed by Benjamin in the framework of the
qualitative changes in the contemporary, and is taken by Adorno in his radical
critique of the damage of subject. This paper discusses the presence of the
concept of experience in both authors: analytic category of Modernity by
Benjamin and critical concept in its reverse in the work of Adorno, especially
in
Minima Moralia
. It intends to contextualize aspects of
Bildung
in the
context of the decline of subjectivity and of contradictions of boredom, free
time and compassion.
