McLuhan and the investigations of different authors about the understanding
of the use of new interactive technologies

learning. It is important
to say that the article shows the ideas of McLuhan and other researchers,
that although they differ in their opinions, all contribute to show us the
evident importance of the transformations in education through the digital
media. The article also shows the need to reorganise the environments of the
classrooms (formal and traditional education) with the aim of transmitting
in a better way to the students of the 21st century. The conclusions aim to
show that schools that follow the traditional format no longer cover the needs
and expectations of the native digital. The application of new technologies
in formal institutions of education has to act together with the reform of
the functions and structures of education. The main aim of education has
to be, therefore, an act to teach and learn where a new role is assumed by
student and professor.

esumen
Este artículo consiste en una revisión bibliográfica de diversos autores sobre
los medios digitales en la educación con el objetivo de reflexionar sobre
las nuevas posibilidades de enseñanza-aprendizaje a través de los medios
digitales. Con las transformaciones en la
web
pasamos a tener tecnologías
interactivas que pueden y deben ser utilizadas
para
y
en
la enseñanza. El
marco teórico se sostendrá, principalmente, a partir del legado de Marshall
McLuhan y las investigaciones de diferentes autores que sobre la comprensión
del uso de nuevas tecnologías interactivas
para
y
en
el aprendizaje. Es
importante resaltar que el artículo busca dialogar con las ideas de McLuhan y
de otros investigadores, que aunque difieran en sus pareceres, todos aportan
la evidente importancia de las tranformaciones educacionales a través de
los medios digitales. También se señala la necesidad de reorganizar los
ambientes de las salas de clases (educación formal y tradicional) con el
objetivo de acoger mejor a los estudiantes del siglo XXI. Las conclusiones
apuntan para el hecho de que la escuela dentro del formato tradicional
ya no cubre las necesidades y espectativas de los nativos digitales. La
aplicación de nuevas tecnologías en instituciones formales de enseñanza
camina de manos dadas con la reforma de las funciones y estructuras de
la educación. El objetivo principal de la educación debe ser, por lo tanto,
un acto de enseñar y aprender, donde un nuevo papel es asumido por el
alumno y por el profesor.
